Leadership.
The people and philosophy behind The Salon Group — and the way we think about building a group of exceptional salon brands.
01 — Founder & Managing Director
Ronny Khan
Founder & Managing Director, The Salon Group
Ronny founded The Salon Group to bring together something he'd seen work again and again: good businesses, great people and strong systems, held to a consistent standard. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business and is a CPA (Certified Practising Accountant, Australia), with more than twenty years across large corporate organisations and professional practice in business development, leadership, financial management and strategy.
That background shapes how the group operates — disciplined about finance and systems, and deliberate about the things that can't be put on a spreadsheet: culture, craft and the trust between a salon and its community.
02 — Philosophy
How Ronny
thinks about the work.
Acquire good businesses
Start with salons that already work — established, well-loved and well-run — and invest for the long term.
Invest in great people
The team is the business. Give skilled people the environment, support and freedom to do their best work.
Build strong systems
Good systems make good salons calmer to run and easier to grow, without adding friction for clients.
Put clients first
Every decision is measured against the experience of the person in the chair.
Strengthen, don't change
Protect what makes each salon special rather than reshaping it into something it isn't.
Lead through trust
Freedom, trust and respect get more from great people than control ever will.
“Give great people the right environment, trust them to do what they do best, and give them the freedom to succeed. When you build a culture based on trust and respect, the rest has a way of taking care of itself.”
Ronny Khan · Founder & Managing Director
