A stylist at work inside a Salon Group salon

Education is how good salons stay great.

Continuous learning sits at the centre of every salon in The Salon Group. We believe skill is never finished — so we invest in the people behind the chair, every day, in the salons where they work.

01 — Our commitment

Development,
built into every day.

Education at The Salon Group is practical and ongoing — it happens inside our salons, as part of the work. Rather than treating training as an occasional event, we build development into everyday salon life: apprentices learning from experienced stylists, teams sharing technique, and skills growing steadily over time.

It's one of the reasons a salon benefits from being part of a larger group. Knowledge, mentoring and standards are shared across our teams — so people keep growing, and clients feel the difference.

More about the group

02 — In our salons today

How we develop
our people.

These are the ways we invest in our teams right now — the everyday practice of getting better at the craft.

01

In-salon training

Hands-on learning where it matters most — on the floor, with real clients, guided by stylists who've done the work for years.

02

Mentoring apprentices

Every apprentice is paired with experienced team members who share technique, build confidence and set the standard early.

03

Ongoing stylist development

Qualified stylists keep sharpening cutting, finishing and consultation — because skill is never finished.

04

Colour & extension skills

Room to grow specialist strengths — colour, balayage, blondes and correction, smoothing and extensions — supported by experience across the group.

05

Leadership development

Encouraging senior stylists and managers to grow into leadership — mentoring others and helping run a salon well.

06

Shared standards

Consistency of standard, never sameness of expression — teams learn from one another while each salon keeps its own character.

03 — An honest note

Real development, not a course catalogue.

The Salon Group does not currently offer formal public or paid education programs. We'd rather be clear about that than imply courses we don't yet run.

What we offer today is genuine, ongoing development for the people in our salons. As the group grows, we intend to open some of that experience up more formally — thoughtfully, and only when we can do it well.

04 — Why it matters

Better stylists.
Better salons.
Better for clients.

When we invest in people, everyone benefits. Stylists build rewarding careers, salons keep the standards their communities trust, and clients sit in the chair of someone who is always getting better at their craft.

“Excellence every day — continuous improvement in every salon, service and client experience.”
